Review: Secret Garden. Mystical and Cute at the Same Time

These two months I’ve been watching lotso Korean drama like crazy. Recently, one drama is totally win over my heart… Secret Garden! I have a few doubts when watched it for the first time. I don’t really like the main actress, Ha Ji Won. Dunno, she doesn’t attract me at all but I gotta admit she’s a great actress. You can say that I only watched it because of the main actor: Hyun Bin!! Yeah, that beautiful Hyun Bin!

He's a bit thinner now, but look at that smile! there's no way it won't melt your heart out.

Ha Ji Won as Gil Ra Im, the cool stunt-woman

This is another rom-com drama by SBS. Hyun Bin plays as Kim Joo Won, a rude, cranky, arrogant but silly department store owner who incidentally falls in love with Gil Ra Im (Ha Ji Won), the infamous stunt-woman who has a dream to be a martial art director. The plot is so-so actually, Ra Im is living in poor and alienated neighborhood so she’s not suit the ultra rich Joo Won, but Joo Won is so eager to have Ra Im as his girl. What makes it interesting is, at first Ra Im didn’t fall for Joo Won at all because of his arrogant nature and his crankiness, in fact she hated him. She was trying her best to avoid Joo Won but Joo Won is so clingy to her. In the other hand, Joo Won himself is busy questioning why he fell in love with Ra Im at the first place. Everyplace he goes, everything he does, he often imagines Ra Im appear at his side. Joo Won felt that if he didn’t see Ra Im, he’s going to lose his sanity so he decided to fall in love with Ra Im. Silly huh? But cute!

The plot doesn’t just focus on Joo Won – Ra Im weird relationship. One day there’s an unlucky accident which made Joo Won – Ra Im, mystically, switch their soul. Things become more complicated while also make so many hilarious events and, off course, romance between Joo Won – Ra Im. They cannot help it and they inevitably should cling to each other.

crazy Oska aka Choi Woo Young. played by Yoon Sang Hyun, his character is so silly. he's one of the laugh cracker in this drama.

Kim Joo Won the crazy track suit. there's a hilarious story behind this infamous track suit. by the way, this track suit is a trend in Korea right now!

the famous Cream Kiss scene. Ra Im left cream in her lips after sipping cappucino and there comes Joo Won 'clean' it for her *gyaaaaa*

Well, I won’t tell you about the plot any longer. You should watch it yourself and let me know what do you think about this drama. fyi, it's still currently broadcast in Korea and get quite successful rating ;)

xoxo,
